While there are many
cocktails known for other holidays, I can't say that as far as I know, there are many for
Easter. So I did some hunting for you, and found a few fun ideas
that you might want to start as a Easter cocktail tradition in your
families or with friends.
Hope you enjoy!
Pink Lemonade would be a very fun virgin option for the kids at the table.
Menning Mimosa
- 6 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons orange flavored liqueur, such as Grand Marnier
- Prosecco, chilled
- Fresh mint leaf
Peach Rose Bellini
- 4 ounces white-peach puree (sidwainer.com)
- 1 750-ml bottle Cremant d'Alsace Brut Rose sparkling wine, chilled
Divide the puree among 6 Champagne flutes (about 1/2 jigger per glass), and top with sparkling wine.
Pear and Cranberry Bellini
- 1 cup pear nectar
- 1 cup cranberry juice cocktail
- 1 bottle Prosecco or other dry sparkling white wine
In a small pitcher or large liquid measuring cup, combine pear
nectar and cranberry juice cocktail. Pour 1/4 cup juice mixture into
each of eight champagne glasses. Dividing evenly, top with Prosecco or
other dry sparkling white wine.
Semifreddo Bellini
- 1 cup peeled, chopped peaches, frozen until hardened
- 1/4 cup peach schnapps
- 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons chilled Champagne or sparkling white wine
- 2 tablespoons superfine sugar
- 1 cup small ice cubes
- Peach slices, for garnish
What could be more Easter-appropriate than chocolate? I would almost serve these two in place of dessert! ;)
Chocolate Easter Bunny
- 1 oz. Godiva Chocolate Liquor
- 1 oz. Kahlua Mocha
- 2 oz. Half and Half
Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martini
- cocktail glass, chilled
- 1 1/2 oz Godiva Chocolate liqueur
- 1 1/2 oz White Creme de Cacao
- 1/2 oz Stoli Strasberi vodka
- 2 1/2 oz half and half
- strawberry, garnish
- chocolate syrup, garnish
Take chilled cocktail glass and spin with chocolate. Pour liqueur,
vodka, creme de cacao, and h&h in a shaker full of ice. Shake once
and pour into glass. Garnish with strawberries. Enjoy.
