Easter Cocktails

While there are many cocktails known for other holidays, I can't say that as far as I know, there are many for Easter. So I did some hunting for you, and found a few fun ideas that you might want to start as a Easter cocktail tradition in your families or with friends.

Hope you enjoy!

Pink Lemonade would be a very fun virgin option for the kids at the table.

Menning Mimosa

  • 6 tablespoons freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons orange flavored liqueur, such as Grand Marnier
  • Prosecco, chilled
  • Fresh mint leaf
In a Champagne flute, mix together orange juice, lemon juice, and liqueur. Fill with Prosecco. Garnish with mint leaf and serve immediately.

Peach Rose Bellini

  • 4 ounces white-peach puree (sidwainer.com)
  • 1 750-ml bottle Cremant d'Alsace Brut Rose sparkling wine, chilled
Divide the puree among 6 Champagne flutes (about 1/2 jigger per glass), and top with sparkling wine.

Pear and Cranberry Bellini

  • 1 cup pear nectar
  • 1 cup cranberry juice cocktail
  • 1 bottle Prosecco or other dry sparkling white wine
In a small pitcher or large liquid measuring cup, combine pear nectar and cranberry juice cocktail. Pour 1/4 cup juice mixture into each of eight champagne glasses. Dividing evenly, top with Prosecco or other dry sparkling white wine.

Semifreddo Bellini

  • 1 cup peeled, chopped peaches, frozen until hardened
  • 1/4 cup peach schnapps
  • 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons chilled Champagne or sparkling white wine
  • 2 tablespoons superfine sugar
  • 1 cup small ice cubes
  • Peach slices, for garnish
Blend peaches, peach schnapps, 2 tablespoons Champagne, the sugar, and ice in a blender until smooth. Divide mixture between 2 glasses; top off each glass with 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons Champagne, and serve.

What could be more Easter-appropriate than chocolate? I would almost serve these two in place of dessert! ;)

Chocolate Easter Bunny

"The Chocolate Easter Bunny" Cocktail with Godiva Chocolate Liquor

  • 1 oz. Godiva Chocolate Liquor
  • 1 oz. Kahlua Mocha
  • 2 oz. Half and Half
Shake all ingredients with ice in a cocktail shaker and strain into a martini glass with a chocolate swirl in the glass. Top up with chocolate shavings.

Chocolate Covered Strawberry Martini

  • cocktail glass, chilled
  • 1 1/2 oz Godiva Chocolate liqueur
  • 1 1/2 oz White Creme de Cacao
  • 1/2 oz Stoli Strasberi vodka
  • 2 1/2 oz half and half
  • strawberry, garnish
  • chocolate syrup, garnish
Take chilled cocktail glass and spin with chocolate. Pour liqueur, vodka, creme de cacao, and h&h in a shaker full of ice. Shake once and pour into glass. Garnish with strawberries. Enjoy.
